We have the below vacancy available in our Organisation:
The F band Executive Head: M-pesa Commercial role based within Strategy business unit.
The role of the Executive Head: M-pesa Commercial role is to drive M-Pesa revenue and customer growth by leading major strategic projects and operational initiatives across the Vodacom International operating companies (opcos), working closely with the M-Pesa Managing Executive and Heads of M-Pesa for each opco and senior leadership across the Vodacom International organisation.

 Your Responsibilities will include:
Define and execute major commercial initiatives to accelerate the growth of M-Pesa, effectively influencing and collaborating with each of Vodacom’s International markets
Shape M-Pesa’s long-term strategy, working across Money Transfer services, CVM, Enterprise propositions, Digital Commerce, Credit, Savings and Insurance
Lead major projects to drive M-Pesa’s growth, working with the M-Pesa ME, Group Strategy and Technology, and the opcos.
Develop robust, detailed business cases, product roadmaps and investment plans
Support the development of Group level partnerships with existing and new Financial Services partners
Monitor and inform M-Pesa leadership on key industry and competitor developments

Drive operational excellence:
Define and build best practice business models and operations across our opcos (e.g. pricing, commission structures, M-Pesa CVM, product development, fraud prevention, pricing)
Define and embed an optimum M-Pesa operating model to drive performance

Performance management and analytics:
Evaluate opco performance, making recommendations and developing insightful financial and operationalKPIs, benchmarks and targets
Develop in-depth analytics (e.g. pricing and commission structures; product growth; costs; org structure)
Partnerships and stakeholder engagement
Build and maintain relationships with key M-Pesa stakeholders, e.g. Banks, Fintechs, Technology Suppliers, Government institutions
Protect and promote the M-Pesa brand

Key performance indicators :
M-Pesa service revenue
Customer growth
Call centre demand reduction 

The ideal candidate for this role:
Must have technical / professional qualifications:
1st Class or 2.1 Degree from a top-tier University in a Commercial, Financial or Technical discipline
MBA or similar business qualification highly desirable
8 years’ experience in Financial Services / Fintech or Telecoms, ideally in an Emerging Markets context

In addition to the details listed above, the ideal candidate will have an in depth knowledge and understanding:

Proven influencer with outstanding communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to build effective relationships at Executive level
Track record of leading successful strategy projects and commercial initiatives with complex stakeholders
Expert analytical skills, able to build detailed models and business cases
Energetic and passionate about M-Pesa
Highly proactive and self-directing
Effective at working across cultures and geographic boundaries

Willingness to travel (up to 30%)

The base location for this role is Midrand, Commercial Park
